    PRADA

    LUNA ROSSA BUCKET BAG

In 1997, Prada CEO Patrizio Bertelli collaborated with Argentine yacht designer Germán Frers to explore the concept of developing a cruising yacht. However, this initial idea evolved into a more ambitious project: the formation of Prada’s own sailing team, Luna Rossa. Partnering with Yacht Club Punta Ala, Prada set its sights on competing in the prestigious 2000 America’s Cup. This goal was realized when Luna Rossa triumphed in the 2000 Louis Vuitton Cup on their first attempt, securing their place in the America’s Cup. Prada’s involvement in sailing had a significant impact on its fashion innovation, as the demanding conditions of the sport prompted the brand to develop new materials and designs, resulting in cutting-edge uniforms for the Luna Rossa team.

This bucket bag is a newer iteration of the Luna Rossa clothing line, and features signature prada red stripe branding, as well as metal branded prada buckles.
